70 women rose head and shoulders above their peers
Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer have revealed the Elite Women in law in Australia and New Zealand for 2025.
In the profession, women comprise more than half the talent pool. However, senior leadership roles often still elude them.
One woman who did break through was EMR Mitrakas managing partner and Elite Woman Eugenia Mitrakas, who was the first woman elected to the Law Institute Council and the first woman to chair Victoria’s Legal Admissions Board. Meanwhile, Elite Woman and Barker Evans managing director Nicole Evans led her Sydney firm to become a leading practice focused on LGBTQIA+ clients and victims of domestic violence.
