Firm shares that it also tripled size of Sydney office in 18 months
PCL Lawyers has announced the launch of its new office in Adelaide as part of the national law firm’s efforts to embed itself within the South Australian and broader legal community and establish partnerships with local businesses and residents.
In a press release, the firm called the office opening a significant milestone. It added that the expansion seeks to help it deliver tailored, practical, quality, client-centric, and commercially driven legal advice, services, and solutions to businesses and individuals alike.
Clementina Maione and Lucy Evans, both raised in Adelaide and passionate about the South Australian community, accepted appointments as heads of the Adelaide office.
“With deep personal ties to Adelaide, Clementina and Lucy bring not only outstanding legal expertise but also a strong passion for supporting the South Australian community,” said Glenn Duker, managing partner at PCL Lawyers, in the press release.
“We are confident in their ability to establish the Adelaide office as a trusted source of legal guidance,” Duker added.
Maione, a family law partner, brings decades of experience in assisting clients with navigating family matters. She focuses on complex property matters and children’s issues. She uses negotiation and mediation to achieve amicable settlements and limit the emotional stress for those involved.
Australasian Lawyer’s Elite Women of 2024 included Maione among the female leaders of the Australian legal profession who have made their mark within the wider legal community and their specific legal areas.
On the other hand, Evans is a partner focused on disputes and commercial litigation. Evans works to offer businesses and individual clients sharp and pragmatic legal solutions.
“Clementina and Lucy bring not only legal acumen but a deep connection and attachment to Adelaide and its community,” Duker said in the press release. “Their passion for delivering practical, client-focused legal advice will establish our Adelaide office as a trusted resource for businesses and local residents alike.”
PCL Lawyers hosted a launch event at Sora. The firm invited industry professionals, clients, and guests to celebrate the opening of the new location. During the event, the firm shared its plans for growth in Adelaide and linked up with members of the local community.
The unveiling of the Adelaide office follows the firm’s expansion in Sydney. The firm shared that its Sydney office tripled in size within 18 months while helmed by Nelson Arias-Alvarez, Sydney managing partner.
“The successful growth of our Sydney office has provided invaluable insights that will guide our efforts in Adelaide,” Arias-Alvarez said in the firm’s press release.
“Our learnings from Sydney’s rapid growth will guide our efforts in Adelaide as we focus on creating a commercially driven and client-centred practice,” Arias-Alvarez also said.
