Fresh on the heels of a merger that created global mega law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang (CMS), industry talk has veered towards news of another tie up, this time with US outfit Hunton and Williams.

CMS Cameron McKenna announced earlier this month that it entered into an agreement to merge with Nabarro and Olswang.

The three cornered marriage is still thrashing out the finer details of the agreement, but media reports say the new global outfit is already in “late-stage” merger talks with Virginia based Hunton & Williams.

Details of the transatlantic venture are still sketchy, but speculations point to the Nabarro and Olswang deal as a “precursor” to the partnership that will expand the firms’ reach across continents.
The three parties in the CMS merger are expected to tie up loose ends by 1 May 2017.

Virginia-based Hunton and Williams, meanwhile, maintains 19 offices across the globe with a practice that spans diverse specialities.
