A new CEO is set to take the reins at Moulis Legal effective Monday.

Pakistani-born Zarmina Nasir comes into the role with a wealth of experience in governance and management. Partner, director and founder Daniel Moulis highlighted Nasir’s “understanding of global issues and regulatory landscapes, as well as her partnership management, policy and strategy development experience”.

Nasir will work with Moulis Legal’s board of directors and current team, and is expected to be key to the firm’s progression.

“It’s a privilege to join this progressive national and international legal practice, which has such broad reach and cross border impact. I hope to expand on the firm’s successes and usher Moulis Legal into its next business evolution”, she said.

Nasir transitions to Moulis Legal after a stint as gender norms director of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade program Investing in Women. In this position, she led gender norm campaigns and drove economic empowerment outcomes for women.

Her significant experience gleaned over more than two decades covers cultural, business and NGO settings, Moulis Legal said. She has worked with ROTA through the Qatar Foundation/ Education Above All, as well as GHD on transport carbon emissions and water supply projects.

She has also lectured at Georgetown University and the ANU, sharing her knowledge on gender and NGO emergency response.

Moulis Legal acknowledged the contributions of Nasir’s predecessor Suzanne Moulis, pointing to her “expertise in corporate governance, driving business performance, and strategy” as being critical to the firm’s diversification and scaling.
