AI has been identified as a priority for the IP firm
Madeleine Kelly has begun her tenure as the managing partner of IP firm FB Rice.
The leadership change was first announced earlier this year. Kelly confrmed that she started shadowing Dr Brett Lunn, who was in the leadership role for 16 years, in February.
Kelly brings significant experience tackling matters related to computing and robotics. With her at the helm, AI has been identified as a priority for the firm.
“AI touches every aspect of our business including our people, our clients, our systems and our processes. The reality is AI will free us up to deliver better service to our clients, but we also have a responsibility to upskill our people and manage both the risks and the opportunities”, Kelly said.
Lunn is set to stay on with FB Rice as a patent attorney. The firm also debuted an IP advisory offering recently.
