The 2024 Elite Woman officially assumed the position on 1 May
Hamilton Locke litigation head Brit Ibanez has taken up the role of deputy managing partner at the firm.
The 2024 Elite Woman officially stepped into the role on Thursday. She will work together with managing partner Nick Humphrey.
“Brit is a true ambassador for our firm. She is deeply invested in the success of Hamilton Locke and our people, and has been a major contributor to our success to date. With our firm and wider HPX Group at a pivotal point in our growth, I am looking forward to working alongside Brit to continue to enhance our people experience, on our plans for strategic growth, and to ensure we stay true to our original vision to be a business that challenges the status quo”, Humphrey said.
Ibanez joined Hamilton Locke as a partner in 2019 and founded the firm’s commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice. She was named Sydney office co-head last July.
She heads up the firm’s operational and risk committees and is on the executive committee.
“It’s truly a privilege to work with the people I do at Hamilton Locke, and to be entrusted with this leadership role. Our commitment to our people-first culture as setting our firm apart is something I take very seriously, and I will work hard to keep this focus front and centre as we move through our next stage of growth”, Ibanez said.
