Law student labelled a ‘goose’ after nudie run

A Melbourne law student has ended up in court after running naked through a Byron Bay kebab shop on schoolies.

A Melbourne student risked putting his legal career in jeopardy by running naked through a Byron Bay kebab shop on schoolies.

Jack Mascitelli, who was caught running without his clothes on through the kebab shop in December last year, has successfully talked his way out of having the nudie run on his permanent record.

The Melbourne teenager, who is now studying law and commerce, had the charges of offensive behaviour dismissed under a section 10, avoiding a recorded conviction and a $500 fine, the Daily Telegraph reported.

He received a dressing down from Deputy Chief Magistrate Christopher O’Brien who labelled him a “goose.”

“You have behaved completely inappropriately.  Running around the streets of Byron Bay with no clothes on, I don’t know why you would want a kebab at that time...[they are] usually reserved for more later hours of the evening after consuming a considerable amount of alcohol,” Magistrate O’Brien said.

The Magistrate warned that Mascitelli that his behaviour could pose a risk to his legal career, but said he was satisfied that Mascitelli, who ran into the shop as a dare, had learned his lesson.
