Law award nominations hit record high

Nominations for this year’s Australasian Law Awards are currently in the research process, finalists to be announced over the coming weeks.

This year’s Australasian Law Awards is guaranteed to be another significant event on the industry calendar with a record number of nominations received.

A total of 818 nominations were submitted across 29 categories. These include 161 deal nominations across 7 categories, 24 in-house teams in the running for Australian In-house Team of the Year and 46 managing partners and CEOs vying for the title of Law Firm Leader of the Year.

Finalists will be announced in the April issue of Australasian Lawyer magazine as well as on the official event website. All finalists will also be notified prior to this by the Australasian Law Awards team.

Look out for a preliminary list of finalists in the Deal categories to be published online next week to allow time to confirm all the parties involved in each of the shortlisted transactions.

The 2016 Australasian Law Awards will be held on Thursday 19 May at The Star Sydney. Once again partnered by FTI Consulting, this year’s awards look set to be another significant event.
