Lander & Rogers partner Mark Parker has been announced as one of the Top 8 Stand Up in September pledges at the 2025 Stand Up in September campaign launched by Melbourne not-for-profit organisation You Matter.

The month-long campaign gets Melbourne men involved in conversations about family violence. As the pledge representing the legal sector, Parker will lead discussions on the topic within the profession.

He is joined by the following pledges:

  • Kenyon Marais – Andersen Studios (creative industry)
  • Stuart Rawlins – Autopact (automotive industry)
  • Ray Short – Bentley’s Victoria (financial sector)
  • Brian Cook – Carlton Football Club (sporting industry)
  • Anthony White – domo insurance (property and construction insurance industry)
  • Damien Chaurémootoo – Empower Tactical (health and wellbeing industry)
  • Simon Jovanovic – Marshall White (real estate industry)

You Matter CEO Deborah de Rossi described September as “a crucial time of year to stand up, speak out, and make a difference”. You Matter scheduled the campaign at a time that typically records a bump in family violence incidents and reporting due to football finals.

The launch event raised almost $38,000 in funds for You Matter’s Havens of Hope program, a non-government funded initiative which develops safe houses for women and children victimised by family violence. The funds collected exceeded the target amount of $35,000.

A $3,000 budget is allocated for each home to be fully furnished with furniture, whitegoods, kitchen and laundry supplies, and pantry basics.

The 2025 Stand Up in September campaign launch event was held at the Hotel Collingwood. Tarang Chawla was the keynote speaker.
