The new partners join the Canberra and Melbourne offices
King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has welcomed Lizzie Knight and Ben Davidson to the partnership.
Knight joins the Canberra office, while Davidson will operate from the Melbourne branch.
Knight practises with the foreign investment regulatory team. She brings more than 25 years of experience in high-profile property capital transactions, particularly cross-border investments.
She has tackled offshore and onshore acquisitions in the mining, manufacturing, agriculture, telecommunications, energy, defence and data sectors. Moreover, she has helped to secure Foreign Investment Review Board approval for private equity firms.
Prior to making the jump to KWM, Knight was a partner with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, according to LinkedIn.
Davidson also hails from Corrs, where he has spent nearly 30 years. The disputes expert will work with KWM’s construction and dispute resolution practice.
He chaired the Society of Construction Law Australia from August 2018 to August 2024, as per LinkedIn, and once served as acting GC of Victoria’s Department of Health & Human Services.
KWM also brought Andy Ferris into the debt capital markets partnership in Singapore.
