Kirkland & Ellis has hired Louisa Cobbe as a partner in the investment funds group at the London office.

Cobbe has extensive experience advising on the structuring, capital raising and ongoing operation of investment vehicles and funds, with a particular focus on real estate, including joint ventures, club deals and co-investments as well as indirect acquisitions and disposals of real estate assets and businesses.

“Louisa has vast experience with real estate joint ventures and both closed- and open-ended funds in the real estate space,” said Jonathan Tadd, an investment funds partner based in London. “We are delighted she has joined the team as we continue to enhance our top-tier real estate funds offering in Europe and globally.”

London-based investment funds partner Christopher Braunack added: “Louisa has a stellar reputation for handling a wide variety of complex real estate investment fund matters. She will be an invaluable resource to our real estate fund sponsor clients at a time when we are seeing a huge uptick in activity within that asset class.”
