Her arrival marks the latest addition to the firm’s Sydney office since its October 2025 launch
King & Spalding has appointed life sciences, regulatory and litigation lawyer Mandi Jacobson as a partner in its government matters and regulation practice group in Sydney.
Jacobson advises clients across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and consumer products sectors on regulatory, compliance and contentious matters. Her practice includes advising multinational companies on regulatory frameworks and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
She also represents clients in complex litigation and other contentious proceedings, including product liability disputes, regulatory enforcement actions, investigations, coronial inquests and class actions.
Her appointment is the latest addition to King & Spalding’s Sydney office, which the international firm launched in October 2025. The firm established the office to provide multinational clients operating in the Asia-Pacific region with access to its international capabilities across multiple practice areas.
Darren Gardner, managing partner of King & Spalding’s Sydney office, said Jacobson’s experience would strengthen the firm’s capabilities in regulatory investigations and commercial disputes involving multinational clients.
“Mandi’s deep experience adds to our strength in covering complex regulatory investigations and commercial disputes for our multinational clients,” Gardner said.
He said her life sciences experience also supported the firm’s strategy of developing its key areas of focus in Sydney, including technology, energy, disputes, life sciences and global human capital matters.

King & Spalding has 1,300 lawyers across 26 offices in the US, Europe, the Middle East and APAC. According to the firm, Jacobson’s arrival adds regulatory, litigation and life sciences expertise to the Sydney office as King & Spalding continues to develop its Australian operations.
