Insurance expert elevated to principal

Meridian Lawyers has elevated David Partridge to principal.

Partridge, who was promoted from special counsel, joined the firm in 2014 from DLA Piper and has since built a strong casualty practice, Meridian Lawyers said. He advises insurers and corporate clients on liability and quantum issues relating to casualty claims, total and permanent disability claims, construction claims, and policy coverage.

Paul Baker, the managing director of the firm, said that Partridge is a highly proficient lawyer who has made a significant contribution to clients and the firm.

“In the short time he has been with the firm he has built a strong client base, played a key role in mentoring junior staff and has been actively involved in the insurance industry. This promotion is recognition of David’s dedication and outstanding performance,” he said.

The promotion brings the total number of principals at Meridian Lawyers to 22. The firm has more than 140 lawyers and staff working out of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane, and Perth.
