Hall & Wilcox announces three senior promotions

Hall & Wilcox started the new year with three new senior appointments.

The firm announced the promotions of Jessica Cheo and Hamish McNair to special counsel, while Andrew Giorgi has been promoted to senior associate.

Cheo practices in statutory insurance and is based in Melbourne. She concentrates on personal injury litigation management and has a particular interest in the area of statutory benefits. She has acted for WorkSafe Victoria and its predecessors for a number of years.

Meanwhile, McNair is a commercial dispute resolution lawyer, also based in Melbourne. He has broad commercial litigation experience with a particular focus on defamation, financial services disputes, and claims involving complex trust structures.

Lastly, Giorgi is a commercial disputes lawyer, based in Perth. He advises individuals, small businesses, insolvency practitioners, government agencies and insurers on a range of tax, commercial and insolvency matters.

The three appointments follow the firm’s record promotion of 34 partners, special counsel, and senior associates in June 2020.
