Firm has been recognized for gender equality efforts on multiple occasions

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) announced that chief executive partner for Australia Berkeley Cox has been named a CEO Pay Equity Ambassador by the government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
The move comes a few days before the country marks Equal Pay Day on 4 September. Cox is not the first from KWM to be named, as global managing partner Sue Kench has long been recognized with the same distinction. According to the WGEA, such ambassadors help create change by:
The WGEA has recognized KWM as an “Employer of Choice for Gender Equality” on multiple occasions, most recently last December.
According to the latest figures from the Bureau of Statistics, the national gender pay gap stands at 15.3%. On average, men working full-time earned $1,638.30 and women earned $1,387.10, a difference of $251.20 per week.
