According to the world’s largest law firm, six of its lawyers received “Lawyer of the Year” distinctions for their work in their practice areas.
Furthermore, five of its lawyers have been recognised for more than 25 years, the firm noted, while 41 of its lawyers have been listed for 10 years. Dentons said eight of its lawyers were included in the list for the first time.
The first edition of The Best Lawyers in America was published in 1983 and the respected peer-reviewed listings has since expanded to almost 70 countries. This year’s edition includes 54,905 attorneys in 140 practice areas in all 50 US states and the District of Columbia.
The 2017 The Best Lawyers in America list is based on more than 7.3 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers, the publication said.
