The tool aims to enhance operations while complying with ethical obligations
Clio has rolled out its Clio Duo AI tool, which is tailored to legal professionals, across Australia and the APAC region.
The tool acquires knowledge from a firm’s current Clio data and is not trained on client information. Actions are logged to facilitate audits, and through firm-wide permission controls, users can access only the data they are authorised to see.
Clio Duo has been incorporated into the Clio Manage practice management platform, enabling it to automate repetitive tasks like email drafting, summarise documents and present smart recommendations.
“Law firms across Australia are eager for secure, integrated, and genuinely useful AI solutions. With its deep integration with Clio Manage and strong focus on privacy, Clio Duo empowers firms to enhance operations without compromising client trust or ethical obligations. This launch comes at the perfect time for a market poised to lead in legal tech adoption”, said Denise Farmer, Clio’s APAC general manager.
Clio Manage users in Australia and APAC can begin accessing Clio Duo.
Clio’s 2024 Legal Trends report revealed that 79% percent of law firms have adopted AI and that over 80% anticipated an increase in AI use over the next 12 months.
Moreover, 70% of clients reported that they were open to or preferred working with firms using AI.
