Clayton Utz leads on $61.2 million raising

Clayton Utz has advised Macquarie Capital and Evans and Partners, as joint lead managers and bookrunners, in connection with the $61.2 million raising by gold miner Saracen Mineral Holdings.

Clayton Utz has advised Macquarie Capital and Evans and Partners, as joint lead managers and bookrunners, in connection with the $61.2 million raising by gold miner Saracen Mineral Holdings.    

The Clayton Utz team included corporate advisory and M&A partner Mark Paganin and senior associate Liz Humphry.   

The raising was announced to the market on February 25th, and comprised a $27.7 million institutional share placement to institutional and sophisticated investors along with a $33.6m rights issue.

Saracen plans to use the funds for two gold mine acquisitions.
