Berwin Leighton Paisner launches family law practice in HK, London
Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has established a family asset protection practice in Hong Kong and London.

The firm is also looking for a new partner for the practice in London in the next six months, said Legal Week.

Partner Marcus Dearle leads the new practice, which includes six associates, four of whom are in Hong Kong. Dearle, BLP Hong Kong’s private client and family partner, moved in 2016 to the UK-headquartered firm from Withers, where he was head of the Asia practice.

The new practice will reportedly take advantage of the firm’s network of high-net-worth clients in real estate. It will also collaborate with the private client practice, which specialises in pre- and post-nuptial agreements, matrimonial litigation, and trust matters.
