Baker McKenzie helps energy company increase capitalisation several times over

Baker McKenzie has helped an onshore oil and gas company on a transformative deal.

The firm acted for Sundance Energy Australia on its $331m capital raising. The transaction includes $257m of commitments received via two tranche placements and a fully underwritten entitlement offer to raise $74m.

Steven Glanz, the firm’s lead partner on the deal, said that the capital raising increased the ASX-listed Denver, Colorado-headquartered company’s capitalisation several times over.

Sydney-based partner Antony Rumboll jointly led the Baker McKenzie team Glanz. Partner Andrew Reilly and associates Paul Anderson, Ivo Basoski, and Emily Hunter also acted on the deal.

Baker McKenzie recently acted on DBS’s $750m notes issue and Clean TeQ’s oversubscribed $150m capital raise.
