Baker McKenzie appoints new Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and North America regional chairs

Baker McKenzie made several leadership announcements at its annual partner meeting in Washington DC. Three partners will join the firm’s global executive committee, while new regional chairs were named for EMEA, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

Joining Baker Mckenzie’s executive committee are Michael Santa Maria from Dallas, Esteban Raventos from Barcelona, and Michael Wong from Taipei. Meanwhile, Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort was named regional chair of EMEA, Duane Webber was named regional chair of North America, and Ai Ai Wong was named regional chair of Asia-Pacific.

"I welcome our new executive committee members and regional chairs to their positions and look forward to working with them,” said Jaime Trujillo, Baker McKenzie's acting global chair, who is helming the firm while global chair Paul Rawlinson is on temporary medical leave.

“The firm has achieved a great deal in the past 12 months, with double-digit revenue growth, maintaining our position as the world's leading law firm brand and promoting more women to partner than any other global firm.“

As their four-year term ends, executive committee members Mike Wagner, Gary Seib, and Erik Scheer will return to practice.

"I would also like to thank Mike, Gary and Erik for their service and commitment to improving the firm throughout their time on the executive committee," said Trujillo.
