HSF advises on Clean Energy Finance Corp’s largest new property investment

The $110 million investment was made to the Investa Commercial Property Fund

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) on its $110 million equity investment in the Investa Commercial Property Fund, its largest investment in new property to date.
 
The HSF team was led by partner Fiona Smedley who was assisted by senior associate Yorick Ng.
 
Smedley and Ng have has previously advised CEFC on a number of transactions, including on its investment commitment to EG Fund Management and its investment commitment to Foresight Group LLP.
 
 “Congratulations to CEFC on this important investment which is consistent with its goals to support green energy initiatives in the office market. It is pleasing to see, and be part of, the increasing demand for investments in the renewable and clean energy sector, which is being driven both by investors and fund managers,” said Smedley.
