HSF elevates 46 to senior associates in latest round of mid-year promotions

Herbert Smith Freehills has recently announced the promotion of 46 lawyers to senior associates, effective July 1.

The firm's executive partner for Australia and Asia, Kristin Stammer, emphasized that these promotions are a testament to its dedication to nurturing its people and ensuring it delivers outstanding client results.

"To continue to deliver the market-leading work that sets us apart, we need to bring the very best people to the table - at all times and in all climates," Stammer said.

Stammer also said that HSF aims to be the law firm of choice for clients and the employer of choice for its employees. "We have big ambitions for our people and will continue to offer them outstanding opportunities to develop professionally and personally within their careers.

Stammer congratulated the newly promoted senior associates, highlighting their outstanding legal expertise, client-focused mindset, and strong leadership skills that have paved the way for their well-deserved career advancement.

The new senior associates are strategically based across the firm's Australian offices and practice groups. The new senior associates are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. They specialize in various practice areas, encompassing competition, regulation, trade, corporate disputes, employment, industrial relations and safety, finance, projects, energy and infrastructure, and real estate.

Their addition is expected to strengthen further HSF's capabilities across various market-leading practice areas and in key growth sectors such as private capital, energy transition, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters.

These promotions in Australia are part of a broader announcement by the firm, including 106 senior associate promotions worldwide, spanning regions like Asia, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. This recent promotion follows the firm's earlier promotions of 10 Australian partners and seven counsel in May.

The complete list of the law firm's newly promoted Australian senior associates is available on the HSF website.
